Hello users,
On January 26th of 2024, TinkerHost staff noticed a service disruption event that began on the 25th affecting the following TinkerHost services:
- AutoSSL Verification
- AutoSSL Installation
- Mail service for SSL Expiring Notification
- Timely Updates of our Free Hosting Servers Uptime page (Note: Other uptime trackers were not affected)
- Select watchdog and update functionality within the client area
- Select background Daemons in charge of keeping TinkerHost running smoothly
After multiple discussions with server administrators and our development team, we have located the source of the disruption, and implemented a permanent fix today, February 6th, 2024 at approximately 1:00 AM UTC. Due to increased load on our AutoSSL and Mail Service systems due to this disruption, some system notifications related to these services may arrive late, or not all all. We will continue to monitor this situation and make any additional fixes as needed.
We deeply apologize for this disruption in our system, and our lack of timely communication and resolution implementation. Going forward, we will be implementing additional watchdog services to monitor more parts of our platform (Including all systems that have failed in this service disruption), to provide our development teams with faster access to information if and when a service disruption were to occur in the future. Additionally, we have updated our internal policies surrounding the amount of information that our support staff are allowed to share when a service disruption is occurring in order to help keep you informed.
Please direct any questions as replies in this community forum topic. Thank You
Best Regards,
Team TinkerHost
