Why is my hosting account suspended?
Calm down, don’t freak out, there is an explanation. Accounts on TinkerHost can be suspended for multiple reasons. Let’s take a look at the different types of suspensions.
Temporary Suspension
This suspension is most common, and occurs when your website goes over a limit on free hosting. Normally, these suspensions can be explained by high-load websites (Like WordPress with lots of plugins and themes), or by an influx of visitors (Humans or bots). When a temporary suspension occurs, your website, file manager, and control panel are unavailable for 24 hours. You are notified via email, and a banner appears in the client area. In both the email and the client area banner, you can find more information on the suspension, and what you can do to avoid it in the future.
After the 24 hours suspension is over, the limits are reset to 0, and your account services will be available again. You will also receive an email when a temporary suspension is lifted.
Permanent Suspension
TinkerHost relies primarily on automated systems to manage suspensions, so it is possible the suspension was done in error. If your account is permanently suspended, you will have an option to open a support ticket and request additional information in the client panel. If the account is unsuspended by staff, you will receive a notification via email.
