As part of our plan to provide the best hosting services to you, we are updating some servers from old HDD storage to new and faster SSD storage!
Hosting volumes 17_1, 17_2, 19_1 and 19_2 are going to get these updates. The upgrade to new SSD drives can take anywhere from a few days, to a few weeks. I all depends on how fast the data can be moved over to the new hardware.
Unfortunately, this means that websites will be down and unavailable while the upgrade is taking place, as the server will be unable to complete web requests during the transfer.
What should I do?
I don't mind if my website is unavailable during the update
If you don't mind, there is nothing you need to do! Your website will begin working correctly once the new storage devices have been installed.
I need my website to work 24/7!
If you don't want to wait for the upgrade to complete, you can create a new hosting account (Please make sure that the new account is on a different hosting volume before migrating your website!)
We will update this post when new information becomes available. In the meantime, don't be afraid to ask any questions that you may have!
