Each of your TinkerHost hosting accounts have a password that is different from the one you use when signing into the TinkerHost dashboard. This guide will explain how to change the password for one of your TinkerHost accounts.
Important things to note: Before changing the password of an account, please note that the FTP password, and the MySQL passwords (Used to access databases in PHP, WordPress uses this as well). Remember to update the password in any applications that utilize the database.
- Login to the TinkerHost dashboard at app.tinkerhost.net, and select the account you want to change the password of
- Select the “Edit Settings” button
- Look for the “Change Password” option. Note that there may be a few seconds of delay after submitting your new password while we sync the password across all the services
Reminder for WordPress Users: If you are using WordPress (Or any other application that requires MySQL access), you will need to update the password in these applications. For WordPress, open the online file manager by clicking the “File Manager” button in the client area, and locate the “wp-config.php” file. Then locate the following lines, and update the password accordingly.
