How does Cloudflare SSL work with TinkerHost?
Let’s go through each Cloudflare SSL mode and see how they work with TinkerHost!
Cloudflare SSL “Off”
When Cloudflare SSL is off, requests that are sent to the Cloudflare network will use HTTP. This setting should never be used, and it does not secure your website.
Cloudflare SSL “Flexible”
When Cloudflare SSL is set to “Flexible”, requests from your visitors to the Cloudflare network are secure, but requests from Cloudflare to TinkerHost are not secure. This setting should be used when you do not have a certificate installed on TinkerHost. For most websites, this setting is secure enough.

Cloudflare SSL “Full”
When Cloudflare SSL is set to “Full”, all requests are encrypted (Both requests from your visitor to Cloudflare, and requests from Cloudflare to TinkerHost). This setting is the recommended setting, but can only be used if you have a certificate installed on TinkerHost. This setting works well when you have a Self-Signed certificate installed on TinkerHost.
Cloudflare SSL “Full (Strict)”
When Cloudflare SSL is set to “Full (Strict)”, all requests are encrypted (Both requests from your visitor to Cloudflare, and requests from Cloudflare to TinkerHost). This setting can only be used if you have a trusted certificate installed on TinkerHost. For example, you must have a “GoGetSSL” certificate installed in the TinkerHost control panel in order to use this setting. Self-Signed certificates do not work with this setting.
